• 18 Apr 2023 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, finally, the budget for Financial Year 2023/2024 is Kshs3.6 trillion. We have a deficit budget of approximately Kshs1 trillion. The Government has gone ahead to save Kshs300 billion in terms of austerity measures. The relevant committee should factor in the saving of Kshs300 billion that has been taken from various ministries and ensure that the austerity measures are there.
