Mr. Speaker, Sir, pursuant to Standing Order No.48(1), I rise to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Health on the expiry of drugs at KEMSA warehouses. In the Statement, the Committee should:- (1) Explain the circumstances under which KEMSA is currently holding drugs worth Kshs1.2 billion which have expired or are about to expire. But before I move, allow me to condole with the people of Vihiga County through my neighbour, Sen. Khaniri, for that unfortunate incident.
