Yes, Mr. Speaker, Sir. It is a point of order. I need clarification on the Petition on the Karebe Gold Mine. It was taken to the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare but when I talked to the Chairperson of the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, Sen. Sakaja, he told me that he had referred that Petition to other Committees; the Committee on Lands, Environment and Natural Resources and the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights. I need your guidance on that Petition because we need to put that matter to rest.

Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I want to add my voice that the issue of replacing the 8-4-4 system of education with Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) is good intention. However, the application has been very poor. One of its aims is digital literacy. If digital literacy is to be implemented yet the laptop programme has flopped, how will we be able to succeed? Teachers (KNUT), Secretary-General, Hon. Sossion. We, as a country, need to have an honest conversation with all stakeholders on CBC. Finally, let us stop using force to implement CBC. It is sad that these people are fighting teachers who are supposed to implement CBC. The Principal Act is amended in Section 15 by- 2013 (a) deleting subsection (1) and substituting therefor the following new section- (1) The Committee shall make a report to the relevant House containing a resolution either that the statutory instrument that stands referred to the Committee be approved or that the statutory instrument be annulled.
