My point here is that it is a strategy of inviting foreign investors and this is what is obtaining today in countries like Malaysia, Djibouti and even nearer home in Rwanda. view

It is 90 acres at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). JKIA owns 12,000 acres of land and out of them, we are making use of 3.5 acres for the runway, buildings and storage facilities. We have already set aside 6,000 acres for the possible construction of a second runway, probably in the next 20 years because our landings and take-offs do not yet justify the construction of a second runway. So, we have leased only 90 out of the 2,000 acres that are available for further development for the good of the nation. So, I think we are justified to have just set aside 90 acres and we have a balance of 1,910 acres still to work on for further development. view
