Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I also had the opportunity to contribute to this Bill. I had short remarks for the Minister for Roads and Public Works. I told him that the taste of the pudding is in the eating thereof. The Bill looks very good on paper. However, we want to see its implementation to the right conclusion. I am saying that because of what we have gone through with civil servants in that Ministry. My attention has been drawn to what appears to be a misunderstanding between the Nairobi City Council (NCC) and the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) Limited regarding the issuance of cable trenches excavation permits for the underground cable repair works, which I understand the KPLC is unable to maintain their service to their customers within the Nairobi Municipality boundary, and in particular repairs to cables supplying power to the main Parliament Buildings and Continental House.
