  • 5 Mar 2014 in Senate: As far as I can determine, because the Senator for Murang’a pointed out very clearly that this is under Article 133(1), which is the power of mercy, and that power is exercised by one office, what the Attorney-General emeritus is referring to is what he used to do in his capacity as the Attorney-General then. I am sure with the one who has taken over from him, they are just part of a Committee which is supposed to advise the same; and that Committee also comprises of the Cabinet Secretary responsible for correctional services.
