Khaniri had quoted all of them – the petition stands committed to the relevant Standing Committee, in this case, the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. In terms of Standing Order 227(2), the Committee will be required, in not more than 60 days of the time of reading the prayer, to respond to the petitioners by way of a report addressed to the petitioners and laid on the Table of the Senate.

A number of you have raised the issue whether this should go to County Public Accounts and Investments Committee (CPAIC) or the Committee on Finance, Commerce and Budget; including the real contestation of whether to consider or to investigate.
