  • 17 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. It is hurting when you come from two to three counties and you have no representative. You cannot stop talking about regional balance. view
  • 17 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you for your direction and advice. I recommend and support the appointment of these three candidates. I sat in the vetting Committee and appreciated their experience. Thank you. view

  • 2 Dec 2015 in National Assembly: We have had problems from constituencies where the CDF Committee chairpersons have grown horns and become so powerful. It is only this kind of limitation that can contain them to ensure that they do not overrule everybody else and take the office as their own property. view

  • 5 Aug 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support the Bill because it makes all the difference in terms of Vision 2030. The same Bible says you should take out the log that is in your eye before you take a small speck from your friend’s eye. Let me quote my colleague, hon. (Eng.) Gumbo who quoted the words of hon. Martha Karua where she thanked hon. Marende for a job well done. I also stand to thank hon. Muturi, our Speaker, for a job well done. He has done a wonderful job. If it ... view

  • 11 Mar 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker for the opportunity. I rise to support the Motion. I have been acting for Nyaribari Chache where hon. Tong’i comes from. I have been representing Nyaribari Chache before the new Member was elected, because Nyaribari Masaba was curved out of Nyaribari Chache. So, I am one of those delighted that hon. Tong’i has come in and has been appointed to relieve me of the double work that I have been doing. Hon. Onyancha, seated next to me, is my old friend. We have been church members together, and I am delighted that he is back. He ... view
  • 25 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this important petition. Tea is one of the major cash crops in this country, especially by small-scale farmers. Where some of us come from, most of the farmers depend on tea. The Government should do something to enable farmers to get income from tea. The Government should send agricultural extension officers to some of the farms to teach farmers and look for an appropriate market for their produce. Some farmers have started selling their tea locally because the Government is not discharging its responsibility of teaching farmers how ... view
