Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have observed the Minister here trying to answer and go round the issue of Charterhouse Bank. How come that when matters are brought here regarding Charterhouse Bank, several road blocks are created such that we cannot get the information? Whereas this House has discussed issues of the National Bank of Kenya (NBK) and their loan portfolios here, how come that issues regarding Charterhouse Bank cannot be brought here and hon. Members given the information they require in order to interrogate the way it was finally closed?

Mr. Speaker, Sir, just before we went on recess, I had requested for a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Lands in connection with the grabbing of several pieces of land, among them the land belonging to Nyandarua Institute of Technology which measures over 100 acres. I also asked about the grabbing of the market which belonged to ladies. The land was allocated to the Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) money and several other pieces of land. Last week, the hon. Minister assured this House that if I will be around today, he will give me a proper answer just because ...

On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. If you allow me because it affects all of us, there is an issue which the Minister for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030 should note that the Fund managers are threatening us that they will freeze the funds and go on leave. If he gives us the leeway that we can go up to March, what authority do the CDF managers have to say that they

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. There was a Ministerial Statement I had requested from the Minister for Lands before we went on recess. I had even discussed with him and this is in respect to the grabbing of the institute land in Nyandarua and also grabbing of dispensaries by individuals. It came up two weeks ago. The Temporary Deputy Speaker who was in the Chair, hon. Imanyara, directed that it comes the following Tuesday. Now, it is the third week and it has not come. I have talked to the Minister about the issue of land ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to take this opportunity to join my colleagues in thanking our President for the wonderful job he has done. Maybe he does not know that to us who come from that area, he is our mentor. When we were young, we used to hear of Makerere University and we read very hard, so that, at least, we could go to Makerere. We used to hear that he went to London University. We all looked forward also to go to the University of London. He has been a mentor and even to come to Parliament, it ...

On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, since this subject has come to the House so many times, am I in order to request our Attorney- General to familiarize himself with the letter that was brought here by the late Prof. Saitoti? If, for sure, it is not correct, and to avoid it being brought here, would I be in order to request the Attorney-General that, that letter be expunged from the records of the House, so that, that information does not keep on cropping up here?

On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I am also in the same predicament and need your guidance. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, considering that the Minister is handling many Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who were displaced from Mau and during the post-election crisis, and considering that right now Egerton University has fenced the land in question, what will he do urgently? This is because listening to him it is as if he is helpless. What will he do to solve the problem rather than wait until he is handed more IDPs before he resettles the ones at hand?
