  • 7 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. On behalf of the Chairlady who I know is around, I take this responsibility to say that we shall give the Report within three weeks. view
  • 7 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Because those who are concerned are many and include the Ministry and the others, I beg that he accepts three weeks because as he has enumerated, there are so many issues which we need to go into in details. I think three weeks will be enough if he would accept. view
  • 29 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to air my views on police officers. At the outset, I want to say that I support this Motion. Why do I support it? This is an issue that touches sides as it touches the security of all of us in this country. So, we are dealing with a very sensitive issue. A police officer is an officer who has used a lot of money in terms of training and they may have been trained in Kenya or overseas. The issue is that most of them transfer to other ... view
  • 29 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: they render us good service and then we will have the ability to say: “Yes, you have been well remunerated. Give us better services.” view
  • 3 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I stand to support this Motion. The ratification of the Standard Gauge Railway has taken a long time. In fact, no good reason has been given why we have taken this long to come up with the ratification of this very important transport system in our country. The railway will definitely promote trade among partner states. It will promote the socio-economic aspects of these countries. The faster we approve the better because we stand to be counted with the other partner states in promoting all those trade agreements we have ... view

  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for giving me this opportunity to air my views on this amendment. From the outset, I want to say that I support the amendment because it provides a solution for some of the problems we have. This country basically survives on farm produce, which we produce. It is on this basis that we encourage our farmers to intensify the growing of farm produce, which at the end will make our country better economically. I support and urge all the other hon. Members to support it. view
  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to extend my support to this Bill. These are common products which we should encourage our farmers to grow. It is advisable that we sensitise our farmers to know how useful these food crops are. When you compare ordinary maize with millet and sorghum, millet has a higher content in terms of food. I would like to thank the Member for bringing this Bill. However, my concern is marketing. We can encourage farmers to grow all these crops, but if we are not going to get a market for the ... view
  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: On a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. In fact, mine is more or less the same. The Member has talked about thieves without substantiation. Thieves in this country are punished. If somebody has been punished, then he is a thief. But there is no proof that whoever has been appointed an ambassador is a thief. Is he in order to say that thieves are appointed as ambassadors? view
  • 26 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to give my views on this very important Bill. May I, from the outset, thank hon. Keynan for coming up with this wonderful proposal. It is a thought that proves that human beings can have ideas that will better their lives in a situation of this nature, where you make some legislation and other hon. Members offer oversight. That improves the development of this country. The problem arises when he leaves this House. I have issues of hon. Members in my constituency who were very decent but, right now, ... view
