We came up with the Competition Authority of Kenya because we wanted to encourage competition among players in the market. If you follow the history of this country, there are so many players that have tried to set up shop in Kenya. Nonetheless, word out there is that Kenya Breweries will never give them room to operate. They come with very unfair business practices in the market to ensure they kick any competition out of the market. view
• 5 Nov 2020 in Senate: You know the case of the South African company Castle Lager that tried to set up shop here but because of unfair business practices by Kenya Breweries, they closed shop and left the country. I have been reading the newspapers about a local company called Keroche and they also point fingers towards unfair practices from Kenya Breweries. It serves the economy if we allow many players to set up shop, and that way, we create more employment opportunities for our people. If we were to be honest with ourselves as leaders, the truth is that the situation is getting out of hand. IF we continue relying on the CEOs in our counties called governors we will watch as our people continue to die. We are living a lie and that is the truth of the matter. view

• 4 Nov 2020 in Senate: COVID-19 patients but even the road leading to that hospital is non-existent. How will you take patients to a hospital that does not even have roads? I call upon the Chairperson of the Committee on Health to urgently visit our counties, do an assessment and prepare a report for tabling in this House. We must shame these governors. view
• 4 Nov 2020 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I was informed that in most counties the dressing code of governors has changed since they received money that was meant to combat COVI-19. The governors are being spotted in very expensive suits that have been purchased using money that was meant to save the lives of our people. Kisii County lost a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) who died on the way to Nairobi where he was being brought for specialized treatment. If we had all the facilities in Kisii County, how come we lost a MCA who was being transported for specialized treatment? ... view
