This is one thing the Minister will confirm. In any case, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Local Government are all Ministries which are making their own regulations. They have the experts in there. Why do we have to subject this regulation on a matter that is very professional to Parliament itself? So, I oppose this amendment. view

When parliament goes on recess, I know that the Committee on Delegated Legislation is going to have that oversight on all regulations in future. But as it is right now, before it comes into full force and given that we are going through an election period, let them be part of this blanket one. But for now, I want us to oppose this amendment. view
