I stand pursuant to Standing Order No. 46(2) b, to seek a Statement from the Chairperson Standing Committee on Education regarding the transfer of teachers from Northern Kenya, specifically Wajir County. In the Statement, the Chairperson should explain the following: (1) Why the Government resorts to transfer of teachers from schools in Northern Kenya whenever the area faces insecurity challenges.   • 22 Feb 2018 in Senate: Thank you Mr. Speaker, Sir. I also thank Sen. (Rev.) Waqo for bringing this Statement. I am also a victim of cancer in a way. My husband lost his uncle and brother because of brain cancer. Research needs to be extended to so many counties. Cancer is also rampant in northern Kenya. They should try to establish if electronic devices are responsible for the brain tumors that many of our people are experiencing. If so, how can we educate them on the use of phones? view
