  • 23 May 2012 in National Assembly: Is it in order for them to use the Floor of the House? view
  • 23 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Prime Minister for this Statement. I also want to appreciate the good work that is being done by our men and women in uniform. The problem of Somalia should be dealt with holistically. Up to now, whenever we have been dealing with the issue of Somalia, it has been in Somalia. But there are also other independent states like Somaliland which have had successive democratic presidential elections and have even changed governments, where an opposition party took over power in a very successful manner. Kenyans even teach in high schools and ... view

  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I need your guidance. The whole concept of consultation under the National Reconciliation Accord is being taken out of context. Could a duly elected President of the Republic of Kenya, who is an executive President, make administrative decisions in his office without the necessary consultations? Could he even make administrative decisions in his office without consultation? view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do support the Report. I will want to thank the Committee for doing a very good job. I think they spent a lot of time vetting Kenyans who applied for those jobs. I believe that we have the right Kenyans for the right jobs. view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that Board is very important in terms of the oversight role that it will play in the whole sector of our internal security. It is for the first time that such a body, under the new constitutional dispensation, has been formed. I do think that Kenyans will have justice and will have an Authority that will ensure that justice is done. The police will be under scrutiny if they will not play their role as per the Constitution. view

  • 16 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, on behalf of five Kenyans who were killed between the year 2011 and 4th May, 2012, I would like the Assistant Minister to listen to me carefully. There were those who were injured and have six wounds in their backs and some with broken legs. I can identify those people by name. On behalf of the six Kenyans who were robbed of all their properties, their animals off- loaded as they were going to the bus terminus in Nairobi--- I want to speak on behalf of the five other Kenyans who were attacked in the ... view
