  • 15 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support the Motion by my brother, hon. Namwamba. As we speak about Budalangi, I want the House to understand that Budalangi Constituency is a sister to Nyando Constituency. What happens in Budalangi every year happens also in Nyando Constituency. All the victims of floods in Budalangi must be compensated by the Government; so should the people of Nyando. Over the years, the Government has given a deaf year to the problems that the people of Budalangi and Nyando face each year. The poor people try very hard to have food on their tables. ... view

  • 6 May 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I personally encourage what the Government is doing to bring peace and reconciliation. However, in Kisumu, we understand that these people who were given orders to kill are still living with us. What is the Assistant Minister doing to transfer all these police officers who were involved and are still currently living in Kisumu, to other places while we talk about peace and reconciliation? Mr. Speaker: Mr. Assistant Minister, you have to two questions to answer. Please, bear with the Chair! view
  • 30 Apr 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, listening to the Minister, I could understand that she has a good plan to deal with the water menace in Budalang'i, but I did not hear from her what plans she has for Nyando. She talks of Budalang'i only! Does she have any plans for Nyando, because every year we are affected? Is she aware that this year, we have lives and many homes which were swept away in Nyando? Does she have any support for people in my constituency of Nyando? What future plans does she have to be able to contain this menace year ... view
  • 13 Mar 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity, after waiting for a long time. I just learnt that we are "monos" and are learning new tricks. For those colleagues who are here, who, are for the first time after the confusion, meeting me, my names are Mr. Frederick Outa and I represent the people of Nyando Constituency. I stand to support the Presidential Address, which was read to us in this House on 6th March, 2008. The Address touched on a number of issues, which I truly believe, if they are implemented, will enhance the livelihood ... view
