• 4 Aug 2020 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the point that I am trying to argue is that the proposals that are being put forth like what Sen. Kang’ata and what Sen. Orengo is about to put forth; is just to postpone our problem. We want adjournment so that we can sit down. Sen. Wetangula had proposed this in our Kamukunji, so that we can sit down and see if we can come up with a formula that will be acceptable to all of us. That is the point that I am trying to make. view

In my long stay in the House of Parliament, I have never seen a situation where the Leader moves a Motion and the Whip opposes the same Motion. What does it tell you? That even if we extend time, I do not think there will be any agreement that we are seeking. view
