If the owner and or occupier does not demolish or obtain approval within the seven days, the county government may demolish such structures and surcharge the owner of the plot or person who has constructed, the cost of the demolition. The Bill provides that where a notice is to be given under the law, such notice shall be deemed to have been served if it is placed in a conspicuous place of the structure or building, served upon the owner or the occupant. While we are still on statements under Standing Order No.48(1), I requested for a statement from the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, which was duly processed and you approved it. Actually I requested it on 3rd, October, 2018. The Chairperson had promised to give a response in two weeks. It is now over eight weeks and we have not gotten the Statement on minimum wage guidelines. I would like to hear from the Chairperson when the Statement will be produced in this House. To the best of my knowledge, the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries is not a select committee. Did she mean a select committee or standing committee? The notice has to be amended. view
