• 9 Mar 2022 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I plead with you that even before we amend our Standing Orders, to give provision for timelines for statements to be worked on, to use your discretion under Standing Order No.1. Whenever we commit Statements to a Committee, give them a limit of time within which they should report back to this House and the person who requested the statement. Otherwise, the long-term solution would be to amend our Standing Orders and put a timeframe for statements to be reported back to the House. view

• 2 Mar 2022 in Senate: I have exactly the same case in my own county and many other counties. There should not be a disparity in the remuneration of these teachers. Recently, as the Senate, we passed the ECDE Bill. I do not know if it has taken effect. It is now an Act having been assented to by the President. I am informed by Sen. (Dr.) Zani that even with the Act in place, this issue will not be resolved until there is a proper scheme of service supposed to be developed by the Council of Governors (COG).
