The Government of Kenya and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) signed over US$20 million, which is an equivalent of Kshs17 billion, agreement for the rehabilitation of the neglected Nairobi City Park. This will mean that many persons, including the inhabitants of the Hawkers Market, will be displaced in the process.
