How can he be crying to the House over a matter he should be dealing with even in my absence as the Vice-Chair? I do not think we are proceeding in the right direction. He is the Vice-Chair of that sub-committee which deals with questions, Bills and Statements.

Hon. Speaker, there are other Members of this Committee including Hon. Mbai. We met as a Committee and that was the first item we transacted, not informally, but on the HANSARD. We are saying that Members of Parliament are claiming that the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security are delaying. Hon. Didmus Barasa will confirm to you that following the division of the Committee into sub-committees, all Bills which were pending before the Committee were transacted in one retreat. Today, we are dealing with Questions. The problem with our brother is that he comes technically and leaves, but this ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I am grateful they are taking the issues in that Statement seriously. I have been told that, so far, about three of the interdicted teachers have passed on. I think there are associated challenges, but this is something to investigate. I would be grateful if a timeline was given. So, we do not let the TSC to sit on the matter for eternity. If you could indulge them maybe two weeks maximum, I would be grateful. This is a matter that is causing a lot of anxiety within the education sector.

Mr. Tom Ojienda was being blocked from contesting to be a member of the JSC and the reason was that KRA had not cleared him. He did not have a tax compliance certificate. I draw this matter to the ...

Two, the High Court in that matter stated that because they are mere administrative requirements but not in law, they are also open to a lot of abuse. I beg Members to listen because this matter is important to me. I want to draw this matter to your attention to just remind you that these people who are seeking elective or appointive offices to serve in the public bodies are like you tomorrow. You will be approaching nomination and on the last nomination day which is Friday, you will be told by KRA that you should pay Kshs100 million. You ...

He is very much in order. Hon. Deputy Speaker, that Rodi Kopany to Sori road comes from a place called Rodi Kopany. That was my people struggling to pronounce “Road Company”. I am standing to emphasise something about this road. This is the link road from the lake down to Nairobi. I do not know whether I can ask, as he will be getting the response from the Cabinet Secretary through the Committee, why the tarmac layer on that road cannot be scrapped off so that we go back to the murram? That is because the situation we have is ...
