I have been thinking about how we can have committee chairs who are fully committed to parliamentary process. I will be suggesting to the Procedure and Rules Committee to maybe make the term of committee chairs a two year renewable term. This is because the situation we have under the Standing Orders says that the only way you remove a chair once elected is through removal and you may not want to take a colleague through that embarrassment.
