  • 15 May 2013 in National Assembly: We cannot tolerate the Leader of Majority Party to continue misleading this House. If the schools are not accessible, how was the survey done? Speaker, Sir, pursuant to Standing Order No. 44(2)(c), I wish to request for a statement from the Leader of Majority Party in regard to the flooding in Tana Delta. Hon. Speaker, Sir, I wish also to bring to the attention of this House and Kenyans at large that the suffering in Tana Delta is becoming extreme. As I speak, over 50 per cent of the schools in Tana Delta have not opened and they are not accessible because they have been marooned by the flooding. ... view
  • 9 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I wish to ask the Leader of the Majority Party to explain what measures the Government has in place to distribute humanitarian assistance. As I am talking, the Kenya Red Cross Society with their food and non-food items are unable to reach 3,507 households because this can be accessed either by helicopter or a boat. As I sit down I request the hon. Member to give that statement. Thank you. view
  • 9 May 2013 in National Assembly: I would like to tell my brother, hon. A.B. Duale that it will not be fair for the people of Tana Delta to wait for that long to hear what the Government is doing for them. view
