• 17 Feb 2021 in Senate: Before I go to one or two things, I want to comment about on this Bill, the cooperative movement has been very empowering to local farmers and even in driving the economies, not just at the micro level but even the economies of scale. There are counties and regions that are synonymous with the cooperative movement. It has brought a transformative change in the lives of many people where the cooperative societies have been involved in many sectors, particularly farming. view

I have seen that the guiding principles of this Bill have borrowed from the principles found in the preamble and Chapters 1 and 10 of the Constitution. The Constitution lays a premium on certain principles and objectives that we must abide by as a nation. Such a move permeates other parts of the Constitution.
