  • 6 May 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. As I agree with Mr. Lekuton, I want to ask whether it is honorable for Messrs. Letimalo and Ethuro to say that this is a Government of thieves and murderous without substantiating. Could they substantiate or withdraw immediately? view
  • 6 May 2009 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 6 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I just want to know from the Prime Minister whether the policy issues that he is talking about are issues discussed by the Cabinet or whether they are from his own office? view
  • 6 May 2009 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I would like to convey my condolences to Mr. Lugano’s family and his constituents. He was a good friend of mine. I am proud to have served the same country with him. I was impressed when the President gave his Speech, but unfortunately, there are areas that he did not touch on, especially security. That is what I would like to talk about. Before the Speech was read by the President, there was killing madness in parts of Kirinyaga and Karatina and that issue was not touched by the President. We are scaring away investors from ... view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister of State for Special Programmes the following Question by Private Notice. view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Considering that some parts of Murang'a South District are experiencing acute famine, what urgent steps is the Minister taking to supply famine relief food to the residents, particularly the integrated Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)? view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. First of all, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for that answer. Unfortunately, he does not even concede that the district just received relief food last week. He says we got Kshs10 million worth of relief food. However, the fact on the ground is that we got 2,000 bags of maize. view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Out of the 2,000 bags we received, only 30 bags were earmarked for the integrated IDPs in that area. This technically means that each family was getting about 4.5 kilogrammes of maize. As we prepare to take the perpetrators of the post-election violence to the Hague, because I believe that is where they belong, I want him to tell us whether the 4.5 kilogrammes of maize are enough for a family, considering that these people suffered because of problems that were created by greedy politicians who are now trading in maize? view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: I have asked a question! view
  • 10 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am disappointed in the Assistant Minister. Nevertheless, the point I am raising is that the food being given is not enough. If I was to be given one grain to share with him, I do not know how we would share it! When will he give us enough food? view
