Therefore, even in this proposed amendment, the inclusion of supplementary questions, in accordance to the proposed Standing Order 42C(4), would be a good time for the Government to explain the policies and programmes they have for the electorates. Having been here for four terms courtesy of the people of Kajiado South, I think 30 days for a question to be answered is such a long time. In my view, by the time that question is answered, it could have been overtaken by events. I would plead with the House that when we go to the Committee Stage, this period of 30 days be reduced to 14 days. Those we call Private Members Questions be answered within three days.
