Hon. Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, clause 6 of the Bill be amended by deleting the words “relevant government agencies” appearing in the proposed new section 10(1) and substituting therefor the words “Salaries and Remuneration Commission”. Every determination of salaries now in this country is determined by the SRC and not by just any relevant Government agency. So, I wanted to be specific. That is why I made such an amendment so that the determination of any payments or allowances be determined by the SRC and avoid generalisations.

Hon. Chairman, even the Leader of the Majority Party has understood. There is no way this amendment would be on the Floor if it was just an error. Thank you.

I am not deleting the clause; it was just a simple amendment. I was only deleting the small bit of relevance. It is quite clear here; relevant Government agencies and replacing it with SRC.
