  • 18 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: another amendment to the Constitution that we have rotational presidents in this country like in the case of Nigeria. Otherwise, we are going to be having one to three communities running the show yet we have people… view
  • 18 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, with your guidance I wish to say that this Kenyan has a right because this is a House that is mandated by the law to look at anything below the sun. Not above the sun. This Kenyan deserves to be given an opportunity. We cannot judge him as having thought wildly. This is the thinking of every Kenyan so every Kenyan has a right to bring anything to this House, petition and discussion to this House. view

  • 22 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also wish to support the Petition. There is a serious problem in terms of how those people access, not just employment, but also education. Sometimes when you look at how some people’s fees are normally waived, you wonder why people with disabilities do not have free education in this country. They are not so many. The percentage of people with disabilities in this country is not even 5 or 10 per cent. They are around 0.5 per cent. I wish that when the Petition is looked into, we also look at how to make their ... view
  • 22 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: I stand to second this amendment. Very touching explanations on how mix-ups happen in that hospital have been given by the Chair of this Committee. Just like the Mover explained, mishaps normally happen in several countries. But when they happen, the people who are affected are compensated and given second thought or opinion. People were joking like the Mover has said, there have been so many jokes. When people look at how somebody is behaving, they tell him or her that they have been to KNH and their brain was interchanged with another one. Someone went further and said that ... view
  • 22 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: I want to second hoping that I will get an opportunity to contribute to the main discussion. I wish the two individuals who faced this situation are fully compensated and also given a second opinion. They can be treated elsewhere, not necessarily at KNH, so that they get are attended to by a doctor who is fully qualified. view

  • 21 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to also contribute to this Bill. It is seeking to address the serious question that most members of public have a problem with. I wish to clearly state that I support it. If today the country was to decide to shut down the use of WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media sites, I think it will go into a crisis. There is something we need to understand even though we support the use of computers and access to the internet. Nowadays, we cannot live without them. But we must ... view
  • 21 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: People are worried about hate speech and other issues that are on social media sites like Facebook and WhatsApp. I am not worried about that because that is part of life. I am worried about a few issues that I wish to state as I support this Bill. view
  • 21 Mar 2018 in National Assembly: The question of unauthorised access is what endangers the cyber. If we allow unauthorised access, it is like allowing people to hack your bank accounts and get your money. It is like allowing people to access your private issues. I support legislation that will ensure that if there is unauthorised access to people’s accounts anywhere, it should be punished. view
