  • 24 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I withdraw and apologise. I can see hon. Duale is getting annoyed because I defeated him the other day in Kajiado after he spent a lot of money there. view

  • 24 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, but you can see they are behaving like machines. Yes. If they cannot allow me to talk, they are behaving like machines. view
  • 24 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I want to conclude my speech. After saying that the Speaker treats Members with contempt--- I would like to urge the Speaker to listen to us. I would urge the Speaker not to listen to A.B. Duale because he is among the people who The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 24 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: are misleading him. Mr. Speaker needs to be able to handle political pressure. We do not want a House where hon. A.B. Duale comes out as the Speaker. view
  • 17 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you. I listened to the Leader of the Majority Party. I do not want to mention anything on a money Bill because last week, we canvassed a lot on that issue. What struck me was the issue that the Leader of the Majority Party brought forward regarding whether Article 110(3) would require that every time a Bill is being introduced in either House; that both of you sit to agree. I would like to read it. It states:- “Before either House considers a Bill, the Speakers of the National Assembly and Senate shall jointly resolve any question as to ... view
  • 17 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: The problem is that the Senate interprets it differently. They want anything that would affect anything - not even a function or power in the county - so long as you are doing anything in the county. This is something which you will do anyway because Kenya is divided into 47 counties. There is no any other space left for us to do anything in this country. Anything you do will be on a county. That is where the Senate now comes in and insists that everything has to go to the Senate. To cure that, the people of Kenya ... view
  • 17 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: An upper house that would make people believe that it is a college and the other house is a secondary school. By the way, I do not want to be referred to as a person in college because it is long since I left college. I do not want to go there easily, in fact, right now, if I have to go to a college. I want to do it through correspondence. That is why I have not done my PhD. Going back to college, to me, is an insult. I am now a mzee. In fact, my children are ... view
  • 17 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: Parliament. As we speak, no matter what; whether we pretend, sing, try to sanitize and so on, no one will take us seriously. These committees - and I want to count them - PAC will go whether we like it or not--- view
  • 17 Mar 2015 in National Assembly: No, I am not. In fact, that committee should do a good job professionally. What I believe is that the damage, once caused, can no longer be repaired. The Departmental Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Co-operatives has no option, it will go! With regard to the Departmental Committee on Lands, my friend must go because the Karen land saga has not been resolved. view
