  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Defence whether he could provide a list per-district of the persons recently recruited to the Kenya Defence Forces, indicating the gender distribution in each district. view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Minister explained to me that he was not able to prepare the answer today, and he will be ready to do it on Tuesday. I hope he will do it on Tuesday. The explanation he gave me was that he got this Question yesterday, although it was approved more than a week ago. view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Minister to make an arrangement with the hon. Questioner outside Parliament and appear to be asking the Question on behalf of the hon. Member? That is because the Question has not even been asked. Is it in order? view
  • 30 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Could the Minister explain why Kenyan fishermen residing in Migingo Island in Lake Victoria are harassed by Ugandan Security Forces? (b) Could he state whether the Joint Boundary Survey commissioned by the Kenyan and Ugandan Governments was completed and, if so, to provide the report to the House? • 30 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I appreciate your direction on this matter. However, I believe that this House is entitled to facts. I find the Minister out of order because he is referring to part “a” of the Question and yet the hon. Member referred to part “b” of the Question which states: “Could the Minister also provide a comprehensive/detailed organogram?” “Providing” is not tabling. The Minister was referring to part “a” of the Question and yet the Member for Rarieda was referring to part “b”, which is about the organogram. view
  • 30 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, for the second time, I beg to ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Could the Minister explain why Kenyan fishermen residing in Migingo Island in Lake Victoria are harassed by Ugandan Security Forces? (b) Was the Joint Boundary Survey commissioned by the Kenyan and Ugandan governments completed and, if so, could he provide the report to the House? (c) Could the Minister also explain the steps the Government has taken to implement the resolution passed in the House urging the Government to use all possible means available to reclaim the ... view
  • 30 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, hon. Karua, in her reaction to the document that was laid on the Table by hon. Sirma, put it very clearly that what she did was rise on a point of order. I am at a loss if the point constitutes a point of order. I believe that points of order are raised in the House. However, the letter was written to the Speaker. Does this amount to a point of order? view
  • 25 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. While appreciating the expression from the Deputy Leader of Government Business that your order will be heeded, I am at a loss--- view
