23 Apr 2008 in National Assembly:
Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, my names are Mr. John Mbadi Ng'ongo, the Member of Parliament for Gwassi. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to support the Motion and take this opportunity to thank the Membership of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for doing a good job. For a short period of time, they managed to go through and report on about four financial years. I think that they really did a good job. I will also not forget to thank the Office of the Controller and Auditor-General for moving very fast and being almost up to date with financial reporting. ...

16 Apr 2008 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you very much for giving me this opportunity. The hon. Member thought I would raise the same point of order that I raised yesterday. For those who do not know me, I am hon. John Mbadi Ng'ongo, Member for Gwassi Constituency. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, is it in order for the Member to discuss matters that are not touching on the Bill? With all due respect to the hon. Member on the Floor, this Bill is not touching on the internal auditors or accountants of any organisation. It is a Bill to regulate ...

15 Apr 2008 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I appreciate that the House really needs to have some business to discuss. But this is a weighty Bill, given the fact that the accounting profession is the one that keeps watch on the use of public funds. This profession also regulates and helps stakeholders in ensuring that their investments are properly guarded. This Bill was published on 8th April, 2008. Hon. Members have just received it. I am sure that most hon. Members have not gone through this important Bill to be able to engage in constructive debate. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I, therefore, oppose ...
