Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me a chance to also speak on this important Bill. I have a different view from some of us. We need to put good structures in place for this money going to the counties. Some counties are doing well while others are just swindling the money. If we are all in support of the money going to the county governments, we need to, first, appreciate the fact that there is no work going on in the counties because we have not put in place proper structures. For example, because there are proper structure ...

Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this chance. I welcome the students in Parliament to learn. In the future, some of them will be like us. To get this position, you must work very hard, whether female or male. Oh, you are all female. You should work very hard to get this position. These lady Members worked very hard. All of them have gone through universities. Kenya is changing very rapidly. They consider academic qualifications. It is not for free. When you go back, tell your parents that you visited Parliament.

Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to this very important Bill. Our Government should take serious measures to make sure that this Bill succeeds. I urge the House to pass it. I support this Bill and thank the Member for Ikolomani, Hon. Bernard Shinali, for moving it. It is on time, because our country needs to grow economically. This Bill can grow the economy of this country. I am a proud Kenyan to say that our country has a lot of minerals, including natural minerals like oil. I used to be in ...

countries. If we drill enough oil, the Arab countries will have a problem with the amount of oil in their area, because we are in the lower side. I keep asking myself about the cartels who buy gold from our miners. Who are the cartels who buy the gold that miners in this country struggle to get? Miners even die in the mining holes. Where is the gold sold? This country could be rich. An Indian used to buy gold, but he moved from this country to Nigeria. The Government should be serious by ensuring that it controls and regulates ...

Hon. Speaker, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(c), I rise to request a Statement from the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Tourism and Wildlife on the decline of performance of tourism sector in the country. Tourism is a critical sector that contributes significantly to Kenya's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), employment, and foreign exchange earnings. Thank you very much Hon. Speaker for giving me a chance to also contribute on the two leaders and Members of Parliament that we have lost. I knew and worked with the two Members, Hon. Injendi and Hon. Cheptumo. Hon. Speaker, I have known Hon. Cheptumo since 2007 and interacted with him for a very long time. We met in this House during the 11th Parliament. He was a very able, honest and hard-working leader. Hon. Injendi was a very strong and honest Member. Pole to the people of Malava Constituency. He was a very strong Member of the Western ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me this chance. The former Prime Minister, Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, fought as the son of this soil. It was just bad luck. Those other countries feared him because he had a plan to change the whole of Africa, and some of them did not want that. God will bless him because he had a good vision and mission for Africa and Kenya. His victory would have promoted this country to another level. I also want to thank the President of this republic for supporting the former Prime Minister. We love Hon. Raila. ...

The ruling of the High Court has been overtaken by events because it took almost three years. The case was filed under a certificate of urgency. The three-judge bench should have acted very quickly and given their ruling immediately. It is not stated anywhere that the Speaker cannot hold a political office. Hon. Speaker, make a ruling on the Majority and Minority parties. There is very little difference in terms of work and salaries. People are aligning themselves politically for the next general elections. I plead with the Members of this House to consider that time is of the essence ...
