Members want to contribute to this, but many are taking the opportunity to discuss the larger Motion while we are still at the amendment stage. Why can you not put the question on the amendment, then those who want to contribute can contribute to the Motion. I think the Senate Majority Leader was in order if he was rising on Standing Order No.32. The Standing Order No.32 (1) says- “A Senator may, at any time, for reasons stated, seek to move “That the Senate do now adjourn.” He just did not mention the Standing Order. He would have moved.
