  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (b) Could the Minister consider displaying the names at the Chief's offices as a sign of transparency in the " Operation Rudi Nyumbani " campaign? view
  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (c) What steps is the Ministry taking to urgently address the plight of IDPs from Molo Constituency and the Rift Valley in general, who are yet to be compensated and resettled? view
  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, however much I appreciate the Minister's answer, I really do not agree with some statistics which she has read out. This is my constituency and I know what we have undergone. Considering what we went through, these people are willing to go back to their farms and some have gone back. A promise is a debt. The Government promised these IDPs that it would compensate them for their loss. They have been waiting for more than a year to be given whatever they were promised. They have returned back to their farms but they are waiting ... view
  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank the Minister for the answer she has given us. Could the Ministry speed up the process of compensation? Could she also inform the House when these people will be paid their compensation so that they can forget about this money and go back to their farms to concentrate on their farming and other business? They are still waiting for whatever they were promised by the Government. Some were promised fertilizer, seeds and even tractors to plough their land last year. When those machines were provided, they did not have time. Could the Minister give ... view
  • 9 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: to ask the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) Under what circumstances did a group of over 100 armed persons attack and kill Mr. John Kuria Wakaba while he was harvesting maize on his farm at Likia in Mau-Narok Division of Njoro District on Tuesday, 1st February, 2011? (b) What is the Minister doing with respect to Messrs. John Machariah Mugo, Macharia Karuru and Musa Gatonye among others, who are hospitalized at the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital with severe injuries sustained from attacks by the same attackers? (c) What steps has the Minister taken in order ... view
  • 29 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think the Assistant Minister is misleading this House by saying that we do not have IDPs of the 1992 clashes. Because I come from the most affected area in this Republic, I have enough information that since 1992, there have been IDPs in my constituency. They are in Elburgon Division at a village with over 3,000 people, who are camping in Kasarani Village. In Njoro Division, we have over 10,000 people who were displaced from Olenguruone, Kamwaura and other areas. They are still waiting to be resettled. view

  • 13 Mar 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, my names are hon. Joseph Kiuna Ng'ang'a from Molo Constituency. I wish to take this opportunity to thank His Excellency the President and hon. Raila for, at least, seeing what the country was facing. Above all, I think I blame the former hon. Members of this House for putting us in this crisis. If they were really honourable, they would have foreseen the problem the country was about to face. They could have then tried to save our nation. However, we are now crying over spilt milk. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as I support ... view
  • 13 Mar 2008 in National Assembly: , they were just watching them. When I dared to go there and confront them, that is when they had the courage to act. Instead of arresting them, they just escorted them. So, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do not have any words because, as much as my constituents would love to have peace, they are all mourning at the moment. Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Molo for electing me to come to this House and represent them. But my last remark to this nation is: Let us try and put ... view
