Some people in my constituency have never seen a telephone, forget about using it. How long do we have to wait? Right now, I cannot get through to my constituency even if I wanted to.   • 8 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for this opportunity. I think this Bill is timely and long over-due. Every single penny contributed by the citizens of this country goes towards economic growth especially in remote areas. With over 200 microfinance institutions in Kenya, and with shaky guidelines, I think this Bill is appropriate and will make positive provisions to streamline the day-to-day running of such institutions. It gives ownership and accountability where there was none, and protects the rights of the poor.
