27 Jul 2011 in National Assembly:
Therefore, it should not be supported by any right thinking Kenyan. We need to mention on the mitigation measures that are likely to help the economy and the poor, who are properly targeted by this Motion, but who will not really benefit from the Motion.

8 Jun 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support Mr. Dualeâs Motion that this Motion is unconstitutional. Since I know you will make a ruling, I wanted to express my opinion on it. Article 44 of the Constitution says that every person has the right to use a language and participate in the cultural life of the personâs choice. A person belonging to a cultural or linguistic community has the right with other members of that community to enjoy the personâs culture and to use the personâs language or to form, join and maintain cultural and legitimate associations and other organs of ...

Bw. Naibu Spika, nadhani zamani Waafrika walikuwa wanavaa vile mhe. Mbuvi amevalia. Walikuwa wanavalia hivyo vitu, lakini mambo yakabadilika. Nafikiri pengine mambo yanaenda yakibadilika hata sasa. 22 Dec 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to support that amendment. If you look at the Report, you will see a contradiction. The Committee says that she is qualified and she has worked for a number of years. At the end, they say she is not qualified. So, you are lost. Unless the Committee was motivated by other issues, which we do not know, this lady is more qualified than some of the people who are in the Report and, therefore, must be a member of the Commission.

22 Dec 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this extremely important Motion. The unfortunate situation we found ourselves in during the post election violence invited a lot of external meddling in the affairs of this country. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, if you look at the other countries where people have allowed outsiders to unruly meddle in their affairs, the stability of those countries is never guaranteed. Now that we have been able to recollect ourselves, we are reforming our institutions; why do we need a foreign institution to try citizens of this country? Also, after passing the new Constitution, if ...

25 Nov 2010 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, the implementation of the new constitution requires us also to be very conscious of our responsibilities and boundaries as a House. The responsibility of interpreting the constitution and applying the law is the responsibility of the courts. Once we have passed the law here, it is very irresponsible for us if we allow the institution that is created by the same Constitution to do its job. There is a tendency with hon. Members of this House – I am sorry to say so because I am an hon. Member of this House – to want to acquire ...

On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Question is written in English Language and the hon. Member asked it in Kiswahili Language against the Standing Orders of this House. It is important for him to learn and that is why I have raised it.
