  • 25 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to support the Kenya Roads (Amendment) Bill. Transportation is a fundamental trade in a country. A country cannot develop if the road infrastructure is not properly done. This is because it forms a basis of movement of people and goods from one area or country to another, and roads are key in the development of a country. I want to thank our engineers for coming up with good designed roads in the country like, the Nairobi Expressway, which is changing the face of Nairobi and it is appearing like ... view
  • 25 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: I have realised that when those outside companies like the Chinese ones get a project, sometimes, they move ahead of our systems. For example, when they were constructing the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) in my constituency, I talked to them and found they were ahead of the Permanent Secretary (PS). He was trying to organise public participation, but they were already on the ground doing citizen participation by themselves! They are very fast and do many things in one day. Actually, if they go to a site, you find within a short period many things change like they have been ... view
  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to ask Question No. 449/2021 to the Cabinet Secretary for Health: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the whereabouts of an infant who had been abandoned, later rescued on 5th October 2021 in Ongata Rongai area, Kajiado County, and taken to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Ongata Rongai Branch in the same town for medical treatment but later reported missing from the hospital a few days thereafter? (ii) What measures does the ministry have to ensure that medical institutions and facilities are able to account for unidentified persons who are taken in for treatment? view

  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support the Committee on the repeal of the Asian Widows and Orphans Pension Bill. Because of the time lapse, it has stopped serving the purpose it was effected for. The Bill was enacted at Independence to effect the payment of pension of Kenyans who decided to go to other parts of the world. It has been distributed to our embassies. With time, the kitty has become small and tracing the beneficiaries has become a big issue. If we check the books of our auditors, there has been an audit query every year because ... view
  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Again, because of emerging issues, when living in a different country, say, in Britain, the Kenyan Shilling compared to the Dollar becomes weaker progressively. So, due to that, it becomes negligible and not cost effective. view
  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: I support repealing of the Act. view
  • 14 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I beg to ask Question No. 425 of 2021, directed to the Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection: (i) What action is the Ministry taking to address cases of mistreatment and harassment of Kenyans working in Middle East countries, particularly Saudi Arabia and Qatar? (ii) What steps is the Ministry taking to safeguard the welfare of Kenyans and improve the services offered to them in these countries, particularly in Saudi Arabia and Qatar? view
  • 10 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I see things differently. Those pieces of land were gazetted in the past because our fore-fathers had foresight on how they could be used. There are many Petitions that urge the Government to de-gazette parcels of lands in Kenya. In other places, we find that land that was set aside for veterinarian purposes, but people want it de-gazetted and shared. It should be used for the purpose for which it was set aside. I know there are many pieces of land that have been de-gazetted and people are agitating for that. If we see the bigger ... view
