Dr. Joyce Cherono Laboso

Dr. Laboso, a distinguished scholar can best be described as assertive and confident. She had never thought of being a politician, her debut into politics was unceremonious. The first signals were sent as she eulogized he late sister, Lorna, who had died in a plane crash. A week later elders announced that they had chosen her to fill the vacant Sotik Parliamentary seat. In her two terms she has prioritized development of roads, education, water and electricity within the constituency. She also holds close to heart women issues. Dr. Laboso is the current deputy speaker, National Assembly.

Member has been given the document that he did not have when the Minister started giving her answer, I think it is only fair that we give the Member time, maybe, up to tomorrow to study the answer that the Minister has given instead of us moving on with the Question. Maybe you can share the information with other Members from that area, so that you will be able to interrogate the answer that the Minister has given. view

  • 9 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Hon. Members, I have given direction. Allow leeway to the Member who originated the Question. It may belong to the House but there is an originator. Therefore, hon. Duale, plus all those who have got an interest in this Question should study the Minister’s answer and we have it on the Order Paper tomorrow afternoon and you can interrogate the Question further. view
