Maybe some of these concerns could have been flushed out if some of these regulations passed through the test by the Committee on Delegated Legislation. This is because according to the Act, you cannot proceed to do regulations that are contrary to the parent Act. view
  • 9 Jun 2020 in Senate: Regulations are supposed to be run smoothly. They are supposed to be derived from the Act. I am told by Sen. Kasanga that the implications they have is a violation of the traditional contracts done by the construction industry. I think this is bad. It is time for us to recall those regulations. They should go to the Committee on Delegated Legislation because that is where they can be flashed out. They should not apply if they are contrary to the Act from which they are supposed to flow. view
