It arose from the Member for Ol Jorok, who said that this legislation seems to create jurisdiction of a civil nature for, amongst other things, seduction or pregnancy of an unmarried woman or, girl and enticement of, or adultery with, a married person, when, in fact, you say that, that jurisdiction, under African customary law, was vanquished by virtue of the fact that, that law was repealed. ... view
