The Speaker’s Office is developing a communication on how uniformly it will be to recognize those who are visiting us in the Gallery. We follow the Commonwealth practice which is a salutation from the Speaker’s Chair and not necessarily from the Members. This will also ensure that Members do not use that opportunity to market their visitors because that may not be fair or be a question of fact.
