29 Nov 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, since we have many police officers who are killed in the line of duty and their families go through a hard time to have their terminal dues paid, could the Assistant Minister consider having a "one-stop-shop" where families of the deceased can visit and apply for their terminal dues, hence reduce the inefficiency and complacency in the documentation process?

28 Nov 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the shareholding was changed back in February. It is very shameful that it has taken over six months for the Government to act on that problem. I want the Assistant Minister to tell this House why the Rift Valley Water Services Board is taking too long to take action on this Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company. This company is holding public money and yet it is not a registered company nor a legal entity. Why is the Government pumping money into this company yet it is not even a legal entity? Could the Assistant Minister ...

28 Nov 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am very sad that I am not getting the answer which should be given in this House. We reported this matter several months ago. We have engaged lawyers who have confirmed the same. That is why I asked this Question in the House. Why can the Assistant Minister not confirm that this company was irregularly constituted? What action will the Ministry take? We want to have a timeframe within which action would be taken. The year has November 28, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3951 gone fast. It is almost halfway through and this company is holding ...

23 Nov 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am saddened that the Assistant Minister cannot acknowledge that there is a problem in the Rift Valley provincial general hospital. Patients have approached me to complain that they are not able to purchase drugs from the Hospital's pharmacy. I want the Assistant Minister to acknowledge that there is a problem. He should also tell us specifically what measures they have taken to address the issue of lack of drugs and other medical supplies.
