• 23 Feb 2016 in Senate: Sen. (Prof.) Anyang’-Nyong’o strengthens my position that I have taken because he has moved from Standing Order No.45 to Standing Order No.1. The reason I made that ruling - believing it is correct in the circumstances - is because it is novel. We cannot say because we have done it before, we must also do it. If it were that easy, Sen. All of you must agree on one interpretation. With a lot of humility, I have given one direction in order to bring the debate to a close because you have different views on the issue. The points of order you are raising might help the position in the future, but not today. view
