  • 29 Sep 2015 in Senate: Order, Hon. Senators! Pursuant to Standing Order No.227(1), this Petition stands committed to the relevant Standing Committee. In this case, it is the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights. In terms of Standing Order 227(2), the Committee will be required in not more than 60 days from the time of reading the prayer; that is today, to respond to the Petitioner by way of a report addressed to the Petitioner and laid on the Table of the Senate. That brings a close to that issue. view

(Dr.) Khalwale, I know you are doing your best on this issue, but you must also appreciate the anxiety of the individual Senators because until this report comes, they are not able to make out what is happening in their counties on matters of accountability.
