  • 4 Mar 2014 in Senate: Listen, Sen. Bule! What you are supposed to do is to second that Motion. If you wish to talk on the Motion as you are seconding it, you can do so. But your duty right now is to second the amendment to the Motion. You can talk on it if you wish or just say that you second and sit down. I will then propose the question of the amendment and debate will continue, which you cannot then contribute, because your seconding is the point at which you should contribute. view

I think you are right that it should be within the time of the debate, but it has been brought to my attention now. I did not know when the debate started. We now have a Motion that has been moved and seconded and so, I am going to propose the Question. view
