  • 23 May 2013 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I do not know about my colleagues, but just this afternoon at about 2.00 p.m., is when I received a document written “Enactment of the Licensing Act” which is, I think, the one that my colleague, Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale, is talking about. I have not even had time to look at it and I hear some of the Senators say that they have not even seen it. So, if it is okay with you, then I do not think this is the opportune time for us to discuss it at all. view

  • 23 May 2013 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, what I am saying is that I have just seen this document, and I understand that a good number of my colleagues have not seen it too, and they do not know what Dr. Khalwale is talking about. So, I do not know how he proposes to proceed if he wants us to participate in this issue because, personally, I have seen it, but I have not had time to go through it. We are going to go through the Bill that we have been discussing and which the Speaker has made a good ruling on. So, we are now in the Committee of the Whole and the Clerk is going to take us through, then we shall go clause by clause as we do the amendments, as is the normal practice.
