18 Jul 2007 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Assistant Minister is deliberately misleading this House. I have a letter from the Town Clerk which clearly states that Ms. Penina Adhiambo Opondo was dismissed from service for allegedly heckling the Minister for Local Government. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to mislead this House?

11 Jul 2007 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I agree with the Minister that there was a stakeholders meeting in Kisumu that agreed to place a ban on the fishing of Omena . There are people who could buy undersized fish from the neighbouring countries and bring them into the country. These are the people that get arrested. Why is it that these people, who buy fish probably from somewhere else, are arrested and harassed by Government officers at the market? Is there a ban on eating Omena anyway?

4 Jul 2007 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is deliberately misleading this House. I have in my possession a letter from the former Town Clerk, Mr. Tubman Otieno. I wish to lay this letter on the Table of the House. Given that the former Town Clerk has written a letter confirming that he actually employed this particular ...

Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, what steps will the Assistant Minister take, now that he has a confirmation that some staff members were actually dismissed unfairly?

4 Jul 2007 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister did not address my concern about the letter which I have tabled. That is just one example of many other letters. However, the case of forging signatures, I believe and I am not a lawyer, is a criminal offence. To prove that he is actually not misleading the House, could he tell us how many people who forged these documents have been arrested, arraigned in court and charged for that criminal offence?
