I am sure amendments will be done later, but there are other good things in it. The Bill will improve efficiency by increasing the autonomy of the facilities to make decisions and manage their own finances. It will also ensure that all funds generated by the facilities are ploughed back to support facilities operations and services. • 20 Sep 2023 in Senate: Asante Bw. Spika. Naomba kuchangia Hoja hii kuhusu uvutaji wa e-cigarrette ama shisha. Hili ni janga kubwa kwa vijana wetu. Wamejiingiza kwenye uvutaji wa sigara. Wanapoanza kuvuta e-cigarrette, vape na Shisha, wanajiingiza kwenye mambo mengi zaidi. Hizi sigara zimeongezewa vitu vingine kama bangi za kuwapoteza watoto wetu. Hili ni tatizo kubwa kwa afya kwani zinasababisha matatizo ya moyo, fungus kwenye kifua na pia kifua kikuu. Wanawake waja wazito, wanazaa watoto wenye kilo kidogo. Lakini ninaomba tu Wakenya na Serikali isilete ukabila, siasa au jambo lolote la kuvuruga zaidi. Wale wanajeshi wetu waliopelekwa Somalia warudi Kenya ili waongoze katika kutunza usalama. Tuangalie nyumbani kwanza kwa sababu mcheza kwao hutuzwa. Usalama kwanza uanze kwenu. Kama kwenu hakuna usalama, ya nini kulinda usalama katika nchi nyingine? We should be the champion having had our sister and mother, Prof. Wangari Maathai set the pace. Parliamentarians require capacity building on this one. • 31 Aug 2023 in Senate: some bureaucracy, so that at least we can get the funding and some of us can be trained on climate change. The carbon credits have been discussed at length. We need to benefit from that. The West are benefitting from our own countries with the carbon credits, so why would we not do that? In exchange of barter trade, we should get many other benefits. They should improve our roads, the infrastructure and many other projects out of carbon credits.
