  • 17 Sep 2019 in Senate: I am happy that we will get about Kshs8 billion in Narok County. I hope that this money will be used to provide water and health services to the people of Narok. I am happy to be a Member of this Senate because we have showed the Executive that we will do our job without being intimidated. Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 12 Sep 2019 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise to support the Statement by my good friend, the Senator from Kitui. I would like, when the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations is going to be looking at that issue, to also consider a situation we have in Narok County. Two clans in Narok, the Siria and the Moitanik, have constantly been fighting serious insecurities in that area as a result of a boundary dispute. view
  • 12 Sep 2019 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, insecurity is something that this country must take very seriously so that we ensure that Kenyans are peaceful wherever they are. If insecurity is left unattended, it can result to lack of law and order in this country. What is happening in Kitui is also happening in Narok and I hope that the Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations and Sen. Sakaja, will be able to come with a proper way forward on how to deal with this issue of insecurity. Thank you. view

We no longer have a Parliament in this country, and the country is run by one Executive. What the Executive wants, it is their way or the highway. We have failed Kenyans; shame on us! We had an opportunity to defend this Constitution. • 11 Sep 2019 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Senate Majority Leader made certain allegations, and it is always good to be on record to correct them. Yes, indeed, I tweeted; and I said that we did our best, but I guess our best was not good enough. I said whether we like it or not, county governments will receive Kshs 316.5 billion. I never said that we surrendered. I want to express my position, because I do not believe that there is any reason why we should laud the Executive or the National Assembly when what they are doing is wrong. It ... view

  • 10 Sep 2019 in Senate: I hope that the National Assembly which now has the Bill after it was passed by this House, will speed it up so that we ensure that our people are safe. I am quite happy that currently the Nairobi City County is implementing some of our proposals in that Bill with regards to the new roads which are being constructed now. view
