  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I must appreciate the Dairy Board for doing a very good job in my constituency. It has done away with the middlemen who have been going round collecting milk from farmers at the farmers’ expense. The Kenya Dairy Board has done something and the price of milk has gone up. view
  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: As hon. Muhia has indicated, we support that the price should be, at least, Kshs45. Let them go up so that our farmers can benefit. I would like to remind my friend, hon. Kimaru that, all the time, he compared milk with water. He said that half a litre of water costs about Kshs60 while one litre of milk costs Kshs27. Both products are very important. Scientists say that about 70 per cent of our body mass is made up of water. So, milk is also nutritious. view
  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: I would like to tell the Government to pay farmers, at least, Kshs45, so that they can continue farming and take their children to school. view
  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Otherwise, I support this Motion as amended. We want the Government to do something for the farmers. view
  • 2 Oct 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. view
  • 25 Sep 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Chairlady. Some of us are businessmen. We know how KRA deals with some of us. So, let us take into account two days of the weekend. Assuming that a public holiday falls on a Sunday, Monday will also be a holiday. So, let us provide for four to five days, so that we can take care of ourselves. As Members of Parliament, we need to take care of the taxpayers as well as the Government. We should not be one-sided. So, I support the idea of five days. The minimum should be four days. view
  • 9 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this Motion, although the hon. Member has really politicized the matter by naming a good number of Kenyans, including former President Moi and Elijah Bii, who is my constituent. It is unfortunate but the Motion is good. view
  • 9 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: The hon. Member has not mentioned Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and yet, he received something small. I do not know why he has not done that. I do not want to say the reason. view
  • 9 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Otherwise, the Motion is good. I support the Motion. Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. view
  • 3 Jul 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker, for this opportunity to contribute to this Motion. I want to thank my sister, T. G. Ali for coming up with--- view
