In this Motion, we are requesting for the establishment of an Ad Hoc Committee to investigate the maize crisis. One may ask why we are going this route. In early July, there was a communication or a letter – which I can table here also – from the EACC to the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation dated 2nd July, 2018, officially suspending the payment to farmers.
